Pinnacles National Monument
On October the 14th, a dozen Renaissance High students, accompanied by teachers Shoshana Coplin, Courtney Rudd, and Pat Messer and astronomer Jim Bartolini, took a camping trip to the Pinnacles National Monument, a beautiful location about 30 minutes outside of Hollister. They hiked the caves and canyons and encountered tarantulas, feral pigs, and coyotes in the campgrounds. Great fun was had by all.
Sam Farr
On the 26th of October, Congressional Representative Sam Farr, visited Renaissance to meet with and discuss current political issues with the student body. Students were given an opportunity to express concerns about issues relevant to their communities, and to hear Sam Farr's responses. The students proved themselves to be politically aware, interested and motivated. More on this event...
